KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- A man and a woman have been arrested and charged for an armed robbery at a West Knoxville gas station Monday night.

It happened at the Mapco station at 7301 Middlebrook Pike around 10:45 p.m. Monday.

Police say Carita Cates, 22, is charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

Cates was taken into custody after she jumped from the Chevy truck the suspects fled in.

She's being held on an $8,000 bond.

Charles Drew, 19, turned himself in to officers Tuesday night. He's also charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

Drew is apparently the man who crashed the suspects' truck shortly after Cates jumped out of it. Officers searched the area Monday night, but couldn't find him.

Drew is being held on a $25,000 bond.
