PIGEON FORGE (AP) -- State health officials are allowing the admission of new patients to the Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation Center.
The Department of Health issued a release Wednesday saying the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes.
The facility is a 120-bed licensed nursing home at 415 Cole Drive.
The department said the center was barred on May 26 from taking in any new patients after an inspection in April and May found violations of administration, performance improvement and patient rights.
Administrator Jon Howard said an incident involving the use of cell phones caused the firing of 2 employees.
