Police search for pharmacy robber

KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Knoxville Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect who hit a pharmacy early Saturday morning.

 It happened at the Walgreens in the 85 hundred block of Kingston Pike around 2 a.m.

Officers say a Hispanic man walked up to the pharmacy counter and demanded narcotics.

He showed a note saying he had a weapon.

The suspect was able to make off with an undetermined amount of prescription drugs.

He is described as a Hispanic male, around 5-'11" with a medium build and short black hair.

Witnesses say he was wearing a blue shirt and hat, both with lettering on them; he also had on white shoes.

The suspect was last seen getting into silver Ford Escape.
