Man arrested in Kodak meth lab bust

KODAK (WATE) -- A Sevier County man was arrested and charged in connection with a meth lab found in Kodak.

Keith Allen Underwood, 35, is charged with manufacturing meth and drug possession.

The Sevier County Sheriff's Office says a meth lab at 878 Pollard Road was found on June 13 by the property owner, who'd rented the property to someone else.

When the owner came home, two people fled on foot.

One of those people, Underwood, was tracked by K-9 teams to a residence on Underwood Road where he was arrested.

Underwood is being held in the Sevier County Jail on a $50,000bond. He's scheduled for a hearing on July 13.

The meth lab was dismantled by the sheriff's office and turned over to an environmental clean-up crew for disposal.

The investigation continues and the sheriff's office says it's looking for more suspects.
