Man suspected in motel robberies in Powell, Lake City

Here's an image of the suspect from the surveillance video in Powell. He has his hands on the tire iron, on the counter.KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Officers are looking for a man who robbed a motel in Powell early Thursday morning and may have robbed a motel in Lake City a few hours later.
Powell robbery
Investigators say the barefoot man was armed with a tire iron when he entered the Country Inn and Suites at 7534 Conner Road around 6:20 a.m. Thursday.
The man jumped over the counter and demanded money.
After a struggle, the suspect got away on foot with about $200. The clerk wasn't injured.

The suspect is described as about 5'11", 180 pounds and appearing to be in his early 30s.
He wore grey sweat pants and a white T-shirt with a picture or drawing on it.

Lake City robbery
A few hours later in the next county over, Lake City police say a Days Inn motel was robbed by a man with the same description as in Powell.
The man entered the motel at 10:20 a.m. and fought with the clerk, grabbing her by the hair as he demanded money. He got away with an undetermined amount. The clerk wasn't injured.
The suspect left in a teal colored car believed to be a Toyota.
