Smoky Mountain Fan Fest brings Merle Haggard, Dukes of Hazzard

SEVIERVILLE (WATE) -- A concert by Merle Haggard and appearances by the "Dukes of Hazzard" cast are part of Smoky Mountain Fan Fest on July 18 and 19.

The festival is the first of its kind at Smokies stadium. The doors open at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. 

Organizers say there will be autograph and photo opportunities with "Dukes of Hazzard" cast members including: Catherine Bach (Daisy), Ben Jones (Cooter), James Best (Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane), Sonny Shroyer (Enos), Rick Hurst (Cletus), Byron Cherry (Coy Duke) and Don Pedro Colley (Sheriff Little).

The event  includes a display of cars including General Lees.

Also, Donna Douglas, who played Ellie May Clampett on "The Beverly Hillbillies" will make appearances both days. 

Plus, fans can meet Butch Patrick, who plahed Eddie Munster on "The Munsters," and Margaret Pellegrini, one of the Munchkins in "The Wizard of Oz."

On Saturday night, country music legend Merle Haggard takes the stage with opening acts Ben Jones, Cooter's Garage Band and Janie Fricke.

Tickets are on sale now for Smoky Mountain Fan Fest. You can purchase them at the Smokies Stadium ticket office, online when you click here or by phone at (865) 286-2300.

One or two day passes are available, as well as general admission or reserved seating for the Saturday night concert only.
