KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Knox County sheriff's investigators busted a second massage parlor they say was a front for prostitution in a week.

Last Thursday, the sheriff's office busted Hollywood Spa off Lovell Road. The owner and an employee were arrested and charged with prostitution.

This time, it was Asian Massage at the corner of Kingston Pike and Sherway Road.

"It started out as a legitimate massage and then he was offered sexual favors in return for money," says sheriff's spokesperson Martha Dooley.

"As he was talking to the girl giving him the massage, she started bartering with him on the price and what could be done and suggested bringing in another girl then for a higher price," Dooley says.

That's when officers rushed in.

"They found several women here. The owner was the one who gave our undercover officer the massage," Dooley says.

Hong Chen, 44, the massage parlor owner, was arrested and charged with felony promoting prostitution and given a $2,500 bond. She has no prior record.

"I just had no idea that anything like that was going on around here," says attorney Thomas Parker, who works in the building next door.

He says he hadn't paid much attention to Asian Massage, until now.

"If that's what was going on, I'm glad they're going to get rid of them. We don't need that sort of activity around here," Parker says.

"This business will be shut down," Dooley says.

Calls from neighboring businesses led the sheriff's office to Asian Massage. Though the investigations can take time, officers say they do take community complaints seriously.
