ROGERSVILLE (WATE) -- Two men were arrested early Thursday morning for 27 church burglaries in Hawkins County, according to the sheriff's department.
Investigators got tips from the community and had an idea what vehicle the suspects were driving.
A deputy saw that vehicle at 2:30 a.m. Thursday and stopped it after a short pursuit.
Keith Crownover, 18, of Surgoinsville, and Jared Hicks, 18, of Rogersville, were arrested.
They're charged with 27 counts of burglary, seven counts of theft and two counts of attempted burglary.
The pair is being held in the Hawkins County jail with no bonds.
Sheriff Roger Christian said he believes Crownover and Hicks are the only two involved in the burglaries.
Two more churches were hit this past Sunday, adding to the total that were burglarized.
