KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Two people were arrested after a West Knox County man was stabbed early Thursday morning in his apartment during an argument.

Keith Eric Allen, Jr., 21, was stabbed once in the face with a five inch kitchen knife and at least twice more in the face with an ink pen.

Allen's apartment is at 8623 Walbrook Drive. It happened at 12:35 a.m.

Detectives arrested Delbert Gillespie, 32, and his roommate, Karen O'Brien, 45.

Gillespie is charged with aggravated assault and O'Brien is charged tampering with evidence.  Detectives said O'Brien tried to hide the knife.

Allen told officers he was "hanging out" with the suspects and when Gillespie started arguing with him and stabbed him.

Allen was taken to UT Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
