KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- The defense team for George Thomas, who's due to stand trial in December in the Christian-Newsom murders, wants to know what jail correspondence and recorded phone calls the prosecution will use.

Thomas' attorneys previously filed a motion challenging the introduction of the correspondence and calls, claiming they violate his right to counsel.

The court ruled in June 2008 against suppressing the communications, but ordered the state to provide specifics on what it will introduce.

The Thomas team says it's still waiting for the answer.

The case is less than two weeks away from jury selection, which starts again on November 18, and less than a month away from the trial. It starts December 1.

Thomas is being tried in Knoxville by a jury selected from Hamilton County.

The jury selection process began in August.
