JEFFERSON CITY (WATE) -- The 14th-ranked Carson-Newman Eagles look like they are ready for the playoffs.
On Saturday afternoon they doubled up rival Tusculum, winning 70-35.
The Eagles got a school record 332 yards and five rushing touchdowns from Buck Wakefield.
In a losing effort, Tusculum quarterback Bo Cordell threw for 524 yards and two touchdowns.
The Carson-Newman Eagles (9-2) now wait to find out who, when and where they'll be playing in the Division II playoffs.
