FARRAGUT (WATE) -- A Farragut home went up in flames Tuesday night, forcing firefighters to call for backup.

The call came in around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Bright orange flames could be seen shooting out of the roof of the stone Vista Lane home.

The family living in the home made it out safely.

Firefighters had to sound a second alarm to get more firefighters to the scene to beat back the flames, including a fire truck from Lenoir City.

The Junior League of Knoxville was scheduled to have a small meeting at the home Tuesday evening. The fire broke out just before members began arriving.

Firefighters was on the scene monitoring for hotspots overnight.
