SEVIERVILLE (AP) -- Retirement Lifestyles Magazine has picked Sevier County as one of the top 11 Southern retirement hotspots.
The upcoming quarterly edition of the publication cites the county's stable to strong economy, the variety of activities, the moderate cost of living and the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.
Editors said Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville are great choices for relocating retirees from other states.
The 10-year-old magazine has about 100,000 readers each issue. It focuses on communities and lifestyles for prospective retirees across the country.
