Tennessee looks for way to stop Alcoa's Randall Cobb

KNOXVILLE (WATE/AP) -- Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin wasn't around for Randall Cobb's recruitment. He wishes the previous staff had recruited him a little harder, though.

Cobb won four straight state titles while playing a dozen miles away from Knoxville in Alcoa, but coach Phillip Fulmer's staff didn't show much interest in him until after he'd committed to  Kentucky.

Cobb's wildcat package - known as the "WildCobb" - has helped lead Kentucky to a 7-4 record and its fourth-straight bowl-eligible season.

Despite playing through injuries in recent weeks, the sophomore leads Kentucky receivers with an average 40.3 yards per game. He's second on the team in rushing with an average 43.6 yards per game and has even completed a couple of pass attempts.
