KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knox County commissioners will select a new county law director in June.
Commissioners set a deadline of June 18 for candidates to submit resumes for the position.
Members of the public can weigh in on the selection at a hearing on Monday, June 21 at 9:30 a.m.
Commissioners will vote on their choice right after that hearing.
Former Knox County Law Director Bill Lockett resigned from office on April 8, the same day he pleaded guilty to embezzling thousands of dollars from his former law firm.
The Tennessee Supreme Court suspended Lockett's law license a week later.
