KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A 14-year-old Colorado boy participating in Destination ImagiNation was rushed to a hospital Wednesday night after falling 30 feet outside Thompson-Boling Arena.

Firefighters said the boy fell off the walkway between lot G10 and the east side of the arena after 9:30 p.m.

He was playing with other children and fell in the spacing between the walkway and a ramp.

The boy was taken to UT Medical Center.

EMS dispatchers said he suffered fractures in both of arms, but was awake and alert. The identity of the boy and his condition haven't been released.

A spokesperson for Destination ImagiNation says the boy is expected to make a full recovery and be released from the hospital in about a week.
