COSBY (WATE) - Officers want the public's help to identify a man who robbed a bank late Monday morning in Cosby.
Authorities say about 11:00 a.m., the man entered the National Bank of Tennessee at 4406 Hooper Highway, showed a weapon and demanded money.
After getting an undetermined amount of money, the robber left the scene in what witnesses described as an older model, green Jeep Cherokee.
Witnesses described the robber as about 30 years old , approximately 5'6" to 5'9" and weighing around 210 pounds.
He wore a blue and gray plaid coat with a gray hood and a baseball cap.
A reward is offered for any information which leads to the man's arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the Johnson City Office of the FBI at 423-282-8090 or the Cocke County Sheriff's Office at 423-623-6004.
This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI, Johnson City Resident Agency and the sheriff's office.
