OAK RIDGE (WATE) - Anderson County Commissioners elected an interim mayor Monday night during a special meeting.
Myron Iwanski was named interim mayor. Scott Gillenwaters was chosen for the 6th district school board opening.
Both men will serve until August 2012. That's when elections to special two year terms will be held.
Back in January the former county mayor Rex Lynch resigned on the heels of a multi-count indictment. He has been the focus of a special investigation since last summer. The charges stem from the improper sale of a pick-up truck to the county government.
