Homemade bomb found at Morgan County meth lab


COALFIELD (WATE) - The Knox County Bomb Squad was called early Wednesday morning to diffuse a homemade bomb found during a meth lab bust in Morgan County.

According to Morgan County dispatchers, authorities were investigating a meth lab around 2:30 a.m. when they found a 16 ounce bottle that was half-filled with gunpowder. Officials also noticed a homemade fuse inside.

As a precaution, the Knox County Bomb Squad was called to the scene to help diffuse the device. Dispatchers could not release the location of the meth lab being investigated.
