Knox Co. moves graduations due to Thompson-Boling renovation

January 16, 2007

KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Knox County Schools will move graduation ceremonies for six high schools this year because of the renovation underway at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Officials have rented the Knoxville Convention Center in downtown for the ceremonies in May. The schools graduating there include: Halls, Powell, South-Doyle, Karns, Bearden and Farragut.

The other six high schools, Austin-East, Carter, Central, Fulton, Gibbs and West will hold their ceremonies in the Knoxville Civic Auditorium like they have previously.
