Pre-trial hearing set for Knoxville double murder suspects

KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Three of the suspects charged in the double murder, rape and kidnapping of a young Knoxville couple were arraigned in Knox County court Tuesday. 

Public defenders were appointed for Lemaricus Davidson, Letalvis Cobbins and George Thomas.

All the attorneys say they need more time to exchange information with the state and talk with their clients.

The judge set a pre-trial hearing for May 17.

A fourth suspect, Vanessa Coleman, remains in Kentucky, where she was arrested, awaiting extradition.

Davidson faces 46 counts including felony murder, premeditated murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape and theft.

Cobbins faces 46 counts including 16 counts of felony murder, two counts of premeditated murder, two counts of especially aggravated robbery, four counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, 20 counts of aggravated rape and two counts of theft.

Thomas faces 46 counts including 16 counts of felony murder, two counts of premeditated murder, two counts of especially aggravated robbery, four counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, 20 counts of aggravated rape and two counts of theft.

Coleman, 18, faces 40 counts including 12 counts of felony murder, one count of premeditated murder, one count of especially aggravated robbery, four counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, 20 counts of aggravated rape and two counts of theft.
