JEFFERSON CITY (WATE) -- Thirty-one players signed commitment papers Wednesday to play for Ken Sparks and the Carson-Newman Eagles.
Though the players come from several corners of the U.S., many names are familiar to fans who follow East Tennessee high school football.
Coach Sparks is looking to improve upon the 7-4 season the Eagles had in 2008. He begins his 30th season in the fall and has won 20 South Atlantic Conference titles.
