Game On Against Cancer set for March 2

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - WATE 6 On Your Side is challenging others to join in the fun to raise money for cancer patients.

Game on Against Cancer will be a night of fun featuring billiards, air hockey, shuffleboard, darts, table tennis, corn hole and black jack. The event hosted by the Thompson Cancer Survival Center will be at Games and Things Friday, March 2 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Participants can play against WATE's Bo Williams, Lori Tucker, Ryan O'Donnell, Jennifer Webb, Gabriella Pagán, Matt Hinkin, Ken Weathers, Shea Sorenson, and Kristin Farley, or challenge a number of other local celebrities including Eric Ainge, Mayor Tim Burchett, Sterling Henton, and Leanne Morgan.

Proceeds from the event support Thompson Cares, a fund that assists cancer patients in financial need with their basic living expenses. The event has raised more than $280,000 in the last five years.
