Lenoir City teacher resigns after 2nd arrest

LENOIR CITY (WATE) -- A Lenoir City Middle School science teacher and soccer coach has resigned after her second arrest.
Lisa Hoffmeister, 37, was arrested on April 24 and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
In February, Hoffmeister was arrested and charged with failure to report child abuse.
She allegedly told the principal that a 14-year-old female student was being physically abused at home but didn't call the state Department of Children's Services.
