KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Police say a fight turned into a stabbing in West Knoxville Thursday night.

Police received two calls around midnight. One was about a disturbance in the 300 block of North Bellemeade Avenue. The other call, about a stabbing, came from the Pilot on Western Avenue.

Authorities then realized the two calls were connected.

Police say Deena Castleman, 31, and Joshua Grubb, 29, went to the Bellemeade Residence where they got into a fight with Jason Hickman, 39, who's Castleman's estranged boyfriend.

Hickman reportedly stabbed Grubb, punched him several times, then threw a rock into the window of a car where Castleman was sitting.

Castleman and Grubb drove to the Pilot on Western Avenue and called police. They were taken to St. Mary's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Hickman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and domestic assault.
