MADISONVILLE (WATE) -- A man who was questioned about a fatal shooting at a Monroe County campground last week has been released without charges, the sheriff's department said Monday.

Josh Anderson was being held regarding the incident. However, Sheriff Bill Bivens said he's been released pending the outcome of the investigation.

When the investigation is complete, the results will be presented to the Monroe County grand jury. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting the sheriff's department with the case.

The shooting was at Hidden Lake Campground at 1481 Belltown Road on Friday, July 24.

Deputies said two people were shot during a fight and one later died.
