Pigeon Forge opts out of state's new guns in parks law

PIGEON FORGE (WATE) -- The Pigeon Forge City Commission voted Monday night to opt out of the new state law allowing permit holders to carry guns in parks.
The vote was unanimous.
The new law carries a provision allowing communities to opt-out.
The law goes into effect September 1.
