Nance convicted of 2008 murder of Knoxville man

KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- A jury convicted Demetria Nance of second degree murder Thursday for the murder of an East Knoxville man last year.
Demetria Nance was found guilty in the December 2008 shooting death of Aaron Benton, who was shot in his home on Hazen Street.
Benton was found shot several times in the back with a 9mm handgun. He died later at a hospital.
Sentencing for Nance is scheduled for January 15.
