KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Knox County sheriff's deputies are looking for the man they say robbed a truck stop and held customers at gunpoint Sunday afternoon.
It happened just before 2 p.m. at the Petro Stopping Center on North Watt Road.
Officials say the suspect drew a gun on the clerk and demanded the money in the register. He then waved the gun at several customers and made them get on the floor.
The suspect is described as a white man standing about 6'1", weighing 170 to 180 lbs. He was also wearing a dark hoodie.
A witness said they saw him get into a black corvette. The Tennessee Highway Patrol later had a report of a black corvette driving at a high speed into Roane County.
It's not known if the two incidents are connected.
