SEVIERVILLE (WATE) -- New charges of rape and sexual battery have been filed against Dr. Rodney Carter, of Sevierville.
In March, Carter was arrested at his practice after an investigation. He pleaded not guilty in court in October.
He's now facing a total of seven counts of rape and six counts of sexual battery.
The grand jury handed down the new indictment after two more alleged male victims came forward.
Sevier County court officials said Carter will be arraigned on his new charges on December 7.
A hearing is scheduled for December 1 before Judge Richard Vance. Officials said a motions hearing date and trial date will be set then.
Carter's original trial date of December 9 will likely change.
Carter remains free on bond. He's suspended from practicing medicine.
