
KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Thursday night, "Twilight" madness began for the midnight showing of "New Moon."
Regal Cinemas Pinnacle Theater in Turkey Creek was overflowing with fans of the vampire series. All 18 screens for the midnight showing were sold out.
The move theater added a 2:55 a.m. screening Friday to accommodate the crowds.
Many in the entertainment industry are predicting "New Moon" could set box box office records.
It's estimated the movie will pull in $90 million worth of tickets,, making this the second biggest premiere of 2009 behind "Transformers."
Online ticket sellers Fandango and MovieTickets both report "New Moon" is the number one advance ticket seller of all time.
"New Moon" is expected to gross a total of $200 million in the U.S. and Canada and another $200 million in foreign markets.
