Vigil held in Knoxville for transgendered violence victims

KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- Friday night people gathered to remember transgendered victims of violence.

The vigil was held at the corner of Kingston Pike and Concord Street.

It was in recognition of the "Transgender Day of Remembrance." Organizers said transgendered people are often the targets of violence, discrimination, and abuse.
