ALCOA (WATE) -- Football fans saw another round of impressive performances last Friday night, but only one player can take home the Covenant Health/6 Sports Game Ball. As always, that makes it a difficult decision to select the winner.
But this week, Chris Shiverdecker stood out in the crowd of worthy players. The Alcoa running back rushed for an amazing 249 years on just 11 carries, and scored four touchdowns in its 41-0 win over Rockwood.
How can the Tornadoes run the ball so effectively? Chris gives a simple answer, saying, "We had great blocking on the front line. The receivers did their job."
Alcoa has a big game coming up Friday when the Tornadoes (5-2) take on Sweetwater (6-1).
