KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- While police continue gathering evidence in the murders of a young Knoxville couple, Channon Christian's friends and family are keeping her memory alive by supporting a good cause.
Her family has asked that instead of sending flowers, well wishers donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
So far, more than $5,000 has been raised in Channon's memory.
On the St. Jude's web page, her family wrote, "Channon would love the fact that we are helping to make a difference in a sick child's life. Today, it seems as if every family has loved ones who are battling cancer or other life-threatening diseases. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital helps fight the diseases, but also invests in the research needed to find cures."
Those who wish to make donations can sign the guest book or remain anonymous.
