June 25, 2007

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The Tennessee Lady Vols won two awards at the 15th annual ESPY Awards, marking their national championship run.

The basketball team, which finished 34-3 with its seventh national title, was named best women's collegiate team in two categories.

The Lady Vols' Candace Parker was nominated for best female athlete, but lost to Arizona softball pitcher Taryne Mowatt, who held off the Lady Vols and ace Monica Abbott in the Women's College World Series to win the national title.
