Knox St. Patrick's Parade and Cel-O'bragh-tion to celebrate Irish heritage

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - The Knox Saint Patrick's Parade is back! 

Here's what you need to know ahead of the event: 

Check-in time for the parade is at 11 a.m. at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum. The parade will start at 1 p.m. on Gay Street. 

The 'Cel-O'bragh-tion' after-party will be held in Krutch Park and will include live music, libations, an inflatable pub, games, and ore. Cherokee Distributing will be providing a Guinness Beer Garden.

Food vendors at the Cel-O'bragh-tion include Mama Gallina's, Gelato Brothers, Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken, Captain Muchachos, and Forks on the Road. They will be serving food from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., and then again from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. 

The Get Reels, a traditional Irish band from Nashville, is scheduled to perform at 2 p.m. in Krutch Park. They will be playing Celtic jibs, reels, ballads, drinking songs, Irish classics, and originals. 

At 6 p.m., The Regal Beagle Band will be playing all your favorites with a little U2. 

The Cel-O'bragh-tion will also feature games and face painting. 

The proceeds will benefit Catholic Charities of East Tennessee, which has put into action its mission to assist the most vulnerable in our area for more than 40 years. With eleven programs throughout East Tennessee, the social services agency delivers a variety of services to thousands of people each year.
