Teen on dirt bike hit by car in Whitley County, Ky.

WOODBINE, Ky. (WATE) - A teen riding a dirt bike was seriously hurt Tuesday night when he was hit by a car in Whitley County, Kentucky.

The Whitley County Sheriff's Office says the crash was reported around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 26 and Highway 6 in Woodbine.

Deputies say a car was going south of Highway 26 and was turning left onto Highway 6 when it collided with the dirt bike going northbound.

The 16-year-old boy on the dirt bike had serious injuries. He was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

The driver of the car was not hurt.
