Fla. pilot, Calif. woman arrested at Crossville airport, accused of trafficking marijuana

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - Two people were arrested in Crossville Thursday, accused of trafficking a large amount of marijuana into Tennessee.

Dennis Howard Bonneau, 47, of Florida, and Erin Elizabeth Reed, 34, of California, are each charged with manufacturing, delivery of sale of Schedule VI after officers found more than 150 pounds of marijuana.

Authorities received information Thursday about a scheduled delivery to Crossville Municipal Airport, When they arrived, they found a small plane on the tarmac and its pilot, Bonneau. Officers found around 66 pounds of pharmaceutical grade marijuana on the plane.

Inside the airport, they found Reed with a bag of around 90 pounds of pharmaceutical grade marijuana along with edible marijuana products.

Each is being held in the Cumberland County Jail on $500,000 bond.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Drug Investigation Division, Crossville Police Department, Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, Middle Tennessee High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, FBI and Homeland Security Investigations took part in the operation.
