3 arrested in connection with robbery at Oak Ridge home

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) - Three people were arrested Monday and accused in connection with the robbery of a home in in Oak Ridge.

The Oak Ridge Police Department says around 5 p.m. Monday, Joshua Young, 37, and Benjamin Davis, 27, allegedly forced their way into a home on East Tennessee Avenue. The victim said a friend had sold a game console to Davis and Davis later returned with Young.

The victim said Davis claimed the game console was broken and he needed to return the money or else he would take something of equal value.

The victim said Young and David forced him to sit on the couch while they took a tablet computer and some cash before leaving. The victim said the two got into a vehicle driven by a woman later identified as Hannah Phillips, 27.

Officers found all three at a nearby Staples store where they were trying to return the tablet stolen during the robbery. 

Phillips was arrested on outstanding warrants and possession of drug paraphernalia. Davis was also arrested on outstanding warrants as well as robbery. Young was charged with robbery.
