SNEEDVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - Four people died in a car crash in Hancock County Saturday.

The crash happened in Sneedville around midnight.

Police say Dustin Johnson, 31, was driving on State Highway 33. The car ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree before hitting a parked truck.

Johnson, and passengers Jesse Weems, 19, and Starla Dalton, 22, died at the scene. Passenger Deidra Seal was transported to a hospital and later died from injuries.

James Marion lives a few yards away from where the accident happened. At the time, he was at home and went to look when he heard sirens.

"There was a man screaming over here, that it was his daughter or his son, I don't remember..."  said Marion.

"These were people that didn't just go to their houses or back or forth to their jobs. Especially well known in the community. Right here where we're at, right in the center of town." Marion continued.
