Anderson Co. students help superintendent close school for snow

ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) - Anderson County Schools superintendent Dr. Tim Parrott turned to social media to crowdsource a video to announce the school would be closing on Thursday due to snow.

On Wednesday morning, Dr. Parrott tweeted a challenge to students in the district. 

"I need your help to make a video about being safe during bad weather," wrote the superintendent. "[The] winning video will be used to call off school the next time."

Dr. Parrott offered a $25 gift card to the best video. 

In the end, it was too difficult to choose just one, so Dr. Parrott selected four winners.

Dr. Parrott announced another challenge will be issued to students on Thursday.
