Clay shooting competition raises money for Habitat for Humanity

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - The annual Habitat for Humanity Sporting Clay Tournament kicked off Friday to raise money for the charity.

Teams from several Knoxville-area companies gathered to shoot clay targets, with the team with the most hits taking home the grand prize.

"It's just a nice time to get out and support a good cause and good people," said John Clark, a participant in this year's tournament. "And have fun with our friends while doing it."

Habitat for Humanity has built more than 550 homes in Knox County to help people in need. This fundraiser will provide money for at least one additional affordable living project.
