Composite drawings released of suspects in West Knox County child abduction attempt

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - The Knox County Sheriff's Office has released composite drawings of two of the three men suspected of trying to abduct an infant from his or her mother's arms in the parking lot of a West Knox County apartment complex earlier this year.

The incident happened on January 31 at Walker Springs apartments. No injuries were reported. The woman was able to hold on to her baby, but the men got away with her purse and other belongings.

All three men are described as Hispanic men. One has a medium build, a medium complexion, is around 5'2" to 5'5", and 130 to 140 pounds. He has black hair, black eyes, is around 28 years old and has a cut over his left eye. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect had a chubby build, black hair, a full beard, was 5'9" to 5'11", around 160 pounds and was about 34 years old. He was wearing a blue jean jacket with flames on it and grey jeans.

A drawing was not available for the third suspect, who is described as a Hispanic man with black hair.

They got away in a white sedan, possibly a Nissan Maxima with damage to the rear. It had a black hood, red trunk, red rear driver's side door, black rims and a loud exhaust.
