Crossville man arrested after wrong-way crash on I-40

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - A Crossville man is facing a DUI charge after state troopers say he was driving the wrong way on Interstate 40 in Cumberland County on Wednesday. 

Troopers say Dillon Smith, 43, was headed east the westbound lanes of I-40 near mile marker 316 when he struck a tractor-trailer. The collision spun Smith's pickup around and he was struck by another tractor trailer.

No one was injured in the crash. Westbound lanes of I-40 were closed for more than two hours, but reopened around 3:45 p.m. 

Smith was arrested and charged with DUI and driving the wrong way.
