Fundraisers, memorial service set for Little Ponderosa Zoo

CLINTON, Tenn. (WATE) - A memorial service for the animals killed in a fire at the Little Ponderosa Zoo is scheduled for noon on Saturday at the zoo.

James Cox, the owner of the zoo, says there is no admission fee, but they will be taking donations at the door. 

In addition to the memorial service, Gage Models & Talent Agency is holding a benefit fashion show for the zoo Friday at 7 p.m. in Clinton at 205 Main Street. All proceeds from the show will go towards the zoo's rebuilding efforts. For tickets and more information, click here

There will also be a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Longhorn Steakhouse in Turkey Creek. Breakfast-only tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children. Breakfast and zoo admission is $20 for adults and $12 for children.  

Tickets are available at Hardin Valley Animal Hospital, Admiral Veterinary Hospital, Admiral Veterinary Hospital and The Houdry. 

All of the proceeds will go toward the organization.
