Short Forecast: A fast moving clipper bringing widespread snow to East Tennessee. Expect delays on the roads by midday Tuesday.
Tomorrow: Widespread Snow, Much Colder, Breezy: Hi 28
Snow likely starting Tuesday morning and lingering through much of the day. Most won't be waking up to snow though. Only the Plateau and SE Kentucky. By midday, the leading edge will be spreading through the valley and up into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
Snow totals will range widely depending on where the heavier snow lingers but we can all expect SOME snow. Below is a map with our latest snow total forecast. Please plan accordingly. An approaching cold front will bring more snow showers to the area by Tuesday. Expect coverage the best coverage to be during the afternoon and evening hours but a little earlier than on the plateau. A trace to two inches of snow is probable in across the region.. Once we get te snow to strop, we may have some dangerous wind chill reading near zero or below on Wednesday.
