KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - Knox Heritage announced Friday it has named Todd Morgan, the organization's former director of real estate and regional programs, as the new executive director.
Morgan has an extensive background in community development. at one time serving as Tennessee Main Street director and program director for the Morristown Community Development Corporation.
Morgan holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Carson-Newman University and as Tennessee Main Street director, Morgan was involved in preserving downtowns and adjacent neighborhoods.
He replaces Kim Trent, who announced in January she would retire this spring after 15 years of leading Knox Heritage.
Knox Heritage advocates for preservation of places and structures in East Tennessee with historical or cultural significance, including its annual release of the "Fragile 15" most endangered buildings in the area.
