Knoxville teen honored with humanitarian award

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - Across the country, teenagers are making a big difference in their communities, including here in Knoxville.

Autumn Arsenault, a local teen, was recently honored with a national humanitarian award from U.S. Cellular.

After growing up playing violin and piano, Autumn decided she wanted to help other children change their lives through music.

As Miss Tennessee’s Outstanding Teen, she uses her leadership platform to lobby for the importance of music education in schools and to raise money for the Joy of Music, a nonprofit organization offering music lessons.
