Oak Ridge man arrested only 6 minutes after robbery call

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) - Oak Ridge police arrested a man Thursday afternoon within six minutes of receiving a robbery call at a fast food restaurant.

Tyler Gilmore, 22, faces one count of robbery. He also had outstanding warrants out of Anderson County.

The Oak Ridge Police Department said Gilmore is accused of forcibly taking a customer's wallet as he was entering Arby's, 114 S. Illinois Avenue, just after 2 p.m. Police say Gilmore ran into a nearby neighborhood.

Officers saturated the area and took Gilmore into custody only six minutes after receiving the call. Police say he still had the stolen wallet containing $13 in cash.

The investigation is ongoing.
