MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WATE) - The Hamblen County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a woman's body was found Tuesday morning.
Sheriff's department officials say the body was found behind a barn at Price's Farm just off of Dover Road.
Sheriff Esco Jarnagin said the woman had only been dead for a few hours when they arrived. The death is being treated as suspicious.
"It's shocking. We're not used to that, so it's a pretty quiet community out here," said neighbor Nathan Ball.
The woman's body was taken to Knoxville for an autopsy to provide investigators with more clues.
"It is sad. I hate anybody has to find something like that. Bless her heart, I hate that," added Ball.
The sheriff said there are no suspects in the case, and no one is in custody, adding they do not believe she's part of any missing person's case in the county.
